In 2023, EcoTukTuk, a company committed to sustainable tourism through electric vehicles, decided to take a strategic step towards the digitalisation of its operations with an ambitious project: the creation of the EcoTukTuk platform. This project aims to optimise the management of reservations, the assignment of guides, real-time monitoring of vehicles and communication with customers, all through a scalable and technologically advanced solution.
The project began with the definition of a centralised architecture capable of integrating various essential systems such as FareHarbor, FactorialHR and Holded, eliminating the need for duplicate management and improving operational efficiency. The platform also includes a dedicated app for guides, enabling real-time communication and efficient management of their bookings.
The scope of the project encompassed a number of key functionalities that set the foundation for EcoTukTuk's digital transformation:
- Centralised backoffice: A 360 dashboard accessible from any device, enabling management of bookings, customers, tours, guides and automating internal processes.
- Integration with FareHarbor: Real-time synchronisation of bookings and tours, guaranteeing automatic updating of critical data.
- Integration with FactorialHR and Holded: Automation of employee management and booking invoicing.
- App for guides: Mobile application that facilitates the management of assigned tours, the receipt of notifications and direct communication with the head office.
- Real-time vehicle tracking: Functionality that allows monitoring the location of vehicles during tours, optimising logistics and operational management.
- Integration with WhatsApp: Fluid communication with customers through the WhatsApp API, allowing the sending of automatic notifications, the management of chats in real time and the automation of interactions from the backoffice.
- Process automation: Implementation of workflows for recurring tasks, optimising efficiency and reducing the administrative burden.
- Statistics and reporting system: Analytical tools for data-driven decision-making.
Thanks to the implementation of the EcoTukTuk platform, the company has achieved a comprehensive optimisation of its operations. The centralisation of data and the automation of processes have enabled a more efficient management, reducing costs and improving the customer experience.
